The thought that this movie can actually become a reality sends chills through my body. This is a good movie to see, even if it does not have a very happy ending. It gives credit to the many ingredients that is vital in humanity- there’s hope (that a cure would be found), there’s sacrifice (when he gave up his life to save the cure), there’s love (love for his dog, and other people)… but one thing that is missing is PEACE.. and in its place instead is WAR.
Yes, WAR has been a vital part of man’s existence. Sad as it may seem, this is the kind of reality that I see. WW1 and WW2 are the wars of the past; Terrorism, corruption, and the like is the war of the present; and the storyline of “I am Legend” may very well be the war of the future.
Can we become our own legend? Or are we one of those who would die of a virus created by others?

Touching. That’s one word that would surely define his film. The historical context coupled with a hint of genuine friendship, sacrifice, and love for family makes this movie more than worthwhile.
One thing’s for sure, this movie will leave you with mixed emotions and keep you thinking, it might even bring back some puzzling memory.
I have a lot of emotions in me now, but I can’t seem to write them down in words. Might as well just watch it to see for yourself.
“There is only one sin, only one. And that is theft. Every other sin is a variation of theft... When you kill a man, you steal a life. You steal his wife's right to a husband, rob his children of a father. When you tell a lie, you steal someone's right to the truth. When you cheat, you steal the right to fairness.”

Spiderman 3. Well, as expected, it was a great movie filled with outstanding special effects. The pursuit of making the movie more realistic is seen in the attempt to show Peter Parker do all the Spiderman stunts without the costume. It makes one think that the editors had taken the special effects up a notch. Well, enough of the special effects, we all know that movies these days wouldn’t actually ‘click’ as much if it weren’t for those guys behind the computers doing all the editing.
Story wise, I think this was the most substantial of all three movies. I was stunned at the effort to bring in a lot of moral lesson (things that should be evident in more movies) such as the value of family, love, and of course friendship. It also told of the importance of being selfless, being forgiving, and being understanding. The movie really appealed not only to the eyes and the ears, but to the heart as well. Frankly, it made me teary eyed at some parts.
Ok, time for the critic. As much as I loved the way the movie was able to cover a lot of things in a very comprehensible manner, I think the movie would have been good, or even better without some of the parts –like those with Peter Parker making a fool of him self walking like a mad man on the streets! C’mon, the “EMO” look and the floppy dance moves were just too much to handle. In one word, it was CORNY. I also didn’t like the fact that Topher Grace played the role of Venom. Growing up, I saw venom as someone who is big, buffed up, and far from comical! I mean, check out the venom that you see in the ‘Marvel vs. Capcom’ games and compare it with Topher! Sheesh… but heck, I think he did his part really well and I applaud him for that.
Characters: Peter Parker is a lousy boyfriend. I hated him when he was insensitive of MJ’s feelings (even before he got the BLACK STUFF). I mean, wasn’t it obvious that MJ was having a hard time not being able to achieve her dream (being popular), and then he goes on ranting about how spectacular he is because of his life as Spiderman! Pete, you know you could have done better than that! It was during these feudal love affairs that I thank God for having Aunt May around to somehow balance things out. She said a lot of qoutable-qoutes in the movie, pity I wasn’t able to write them down.
Mary Jane, the typical girl. Why typical, because she is the type which wants things to go her own way and when it doesn’t, she could ruin things in a snap; and at the same time feel sorry for herself and find herself back into the arms of the one she allegedly hates(did I even make a point?). Well, I think that’s how love goes. –It’s complicated; it’s risky and Mary Jane was brave enough to face it. She is just a simple girl who has madly fallen in love.
Harry, a true friend, an ideal person, the true Hero. I know that I might be giving Harry too much compliment, but that’s just how I feel. This is so because despite his tremendous hate for Spiderman, he found it in his heart to forgive him; because even if he was hurt by him, he went on his way to help him (even if I’m not really sure if it was because of their friendship of because of MJ); And it was most especially because he died for Spiderman –there’s no greater love that a man would give his life for a friend!
Well, I still have a lot to say about the other characters, but I think this is already too long for a review. Haha…
